SpeedTrack logo

SpeedTrack solutions enable fast, intuitive access to any information that can be derived from data regardless of its size, structure or complexity. Rather than employing the conventional approach of data structures and indices designed to store and query data (databases, cubes, OLAP Hadoop, Map Reduce, etc.), SpeedTrack extracts all of the information from the data, to enable comprehensive guidance to insights. Instead of relying on pre-defined queries and canned reports, decision makers use their knowledge and intuition to explore and discover insights that are relevant and important to them.

Vitas Healthcare

VITAS Healthcare has more than 20 years of experience caring for patients in San Diego with advanced illnesses and their families. In 2015 our staff made 72,999 visits, caring for more than 1,250 patients in the San Diego area as well as evaluating patients, admitting those who were eligible, and delivering home medical equipment.

VITAS Healthcare transitions patients efficiently and seamlessly from hospital to home, from curative to palliative, from chronic to end-stage. Our interdisciplinary teams of hospice professionals add to the continuum of care, providing the physical, emotional and spiritual support needed to keep patients comfortably at home.

As a post-acute care provider, the VITAS program in San Diego provides advanced levels of care, including, when medically necessary, temporary shifts of continuous acute symptom management in the home and, when symptoms cannot be controlled at home, round-the-clock inpatient care through our partnerships with 17 local hospitals. This reduces the likelihood of futile visits to the ED and unnecessary hospital admissions.

The VITAS office in San Diego is one of 44 offices nationwide serving patients in 15 states and the District of Columbia. VITAS Healthcare has been a leader in hospice and palliative care since 1978 and was instrumental in the development and passage of the Medicare hospice benefit in 1982.
