More than 1,800 youth in San Diego have nowhere to sleep at night, according to San Diego Youth Services (SDYS). To shine a light on youth homelessness and recognize November as Runaway & Homeless Youth Prevention Month, SDYS is hosting a Runaway & Homeless Youth Walk and Rally on Nov. 15 at San Diego City Hall — and registration is open. Home Start — a nonprofit child abuse prevention and treatment agency — is also hosting a Runaway & Homeless Youth Walk and Rally for the east region community. This event will take place Nov. 14 at Little House Family Resource Services in El Cajon. Attendees at both events are encouraged to wear green.
