Exodus Recovery was founded in 1989 to manage hospital-based inpatient and outpatient programs in Los Angeles County. Exodus has since expanded to provide a wide variety of programs and services to Los Angeles, San Diego, Fresno, and Orange counties.
Its client-focused recovery-based system of care brings tools for the best possible quality of life to its clients and encompasses programs that work toward fulfilling the strategic objectives of reducing utilization of health systems, medical emergency rooms, and law enforcement interventions; limiting hospitalizations; reducing homelessness; and creating safe and secure environments where those with complex conditions can receive compassionate and caring specialized services.
In San Diego County, Exodus provides community-based Crisis Stabilization Centers in Vista and Oceanside, North Coastal Region Mobile Crisis Response Teams, and Enhanced Strength-Based Case Management for post-release offenders on Assembly Bill 109 probation. Programs in San Diego that are not specific to behavioral health include the City of Vista Homeless Outreach Teams and CalAIM Enhanced Care Management and Community Supports. Additionally, Exodus operates two programs for Regional Center members — one for those at risk of justice involvement and the other focused on community-based crisis prevention and crisis intervention, along with building relationships and supports across service systems.
