Welcome and congratulations to Capt. Virginia H. Damin, NC, USN, who was named director of Naval Hospital Camp Pendleton (NHCP) on July 11. Damin relieved Capt. Jenny S. Burkett, who has transferred to the Office of Deputy Navy Surgeon General in Falls Church, Va.
Most recently, Damin served as the deputy director of Naval Hospital, Guam. Previous positions Damin held during her more than 20-year Naval career included associate director for nursing services at NHCP; department head for the Multi-Service Ward and Intensive Care Unit at NHCP; critical care nurse for Fleet Surgical Team II in Norfolk, Va.; and two combat deployments in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.
