Keziah “Kezzy” Olivar, an emergency department (ED) technician at Sharp Chula Vista Medical Center, started painting portraits of her co-workers during the pandemic as a healing practice. Her portraits, which capture the essence of what it is like working in the hospital, now hang in a gallery in the halls of the ED.
