The HASD&IC Board of Directors convened on Jan. 17. Board Chair and UC San Diego Health Chief Executive Officer Patty Maysent, MPH, MBA, officiated. The other 2024 officers are as follows:

- Diane Hansen, CPA, President & CEO, Palomar Health (Chair-Elect)
- Brett McClain, Executive Vice President & Chief Operating Officer, Sharp HealthCare (Secretary)
- Neerav Jadeja, MBA, MSHA, CEO, Paradise Valley Hospital (Treasurer)
Board members approved the appointment of Christopher R. Bjornberg, MBA, FACHE, CEO of Pioneers Memorial Healthcare District, as a member of the board. We welcome and thank all the board members for their dedication, commitment, and leadership.
The agenda included updates and discussion on local advocacy priorities, behavioral health services, emergency medical services, the 2024 point-in-time count of people experiencing homelessness, the 2025 Community Health Needs Assessment, and state/federal priority issues.
