CHA submitted a letter to the California Department of Public Health’s Center for Health Care Quality to strongly urge several changes to the draft regulations, including a one-year delay of the proposed effective date of Jan. 31, 2026. Several stakeholders — including counties, law enforcement, and community providers — have also requested a delay.
