Following a tumultuous health journey that led her to groundbreaking immunotherapy treatment at UC San Diego Health, Katie is now back to surfing, waterskiing, and mountain biking.
When Katie Kinninger was diagnosed with B-cell lymphoma, she turned to UC San Diego Health for treatment. Though she entered remission following her first round of chemotherapy, she relapsed — twice. This prompted Katie’s care team to shift her treatment to chimeric antigen receptor T-cell immunotherapy — and it worked. After her tumultuous, years-long health journey, Katie is now back to surfing, waterskiing, and mountain biking.
