The HASD&IC Board of Directors convened on March 17. Board Chair and University of California, San Diego Health CEO Patty Maysent, MPH, MBA, officiated.
The agenda included an update and discussion on local advocacy priorities, including medical debt, the 2024 Point-in-Time Count of people experiencing homelessness, hospital economic impacts, behavioral health services, emergency medical services, and the 2025 Community Health Needs Assessment. State and federal advocacy priorities were also discussed, including insurer accountability, seismic reform, the Office of Health Care Affordability, and preserving rural health care (financial instability).
