New Certified Wellness Coach Scholarship Program: The Department of Health Care Access and Information (HCAI) launched the Certified Wellness Coach profession earlier this year in its ongoing commitment to expand and enhance behavioral health services for youth. This role is designed to deliver comprehensive prevention and early intervention services, promoting the physical, emotional, and mental well-being of young people.
The Wellness Coach Scholarship Program is provided by the Children and Youth Behavioral Health Initiative and HCAI. Applications for scholarships of up to $35,000 (in exchange for a 12-month service obligation) are open until May 24 for students enrolled or accepted into an associate or bachelor’s degree program in social work, addiction studies, or human services for the 2024-25 academic year at a California college or university.
