Registration Now Open for November’s Annual Meeting

As our health care system continues to evolve, opportunities to come together, learn from one another, and discuss the challenges ahead are more important than ever. Registration is now open for the 2026 HASD&IC Annual Meeting, and I hope you’ll join us.

The meeting, which will be held on Thursday, Nov. 19 at the Estancia La Jolla Hotel & Spa, will bring together health care leaders, community partners, and policy experts for a day of thought-provoking discussion, networking, and shared learning. Together, we’ll explore the issues shaping our field, from California’s changing health care environment to leadership strategies that support innovation and growth. It promises to be an engaging and valuable opportunity to connect with colleagues from across the region and state.

We’re excited to welcome our keynote, Jon Carmichael — a world-renowned astrophotographer whose work and message center on pushing past perceived limitations. The program will also include panels focused on health system executive leadership perspectives, H.R. 1, and other federal, state, and regional policy developments.

We’ll also take time to recognize and celebrate this year’s honorees during the Community Leadership Awards, celebrating individuals and organizations whose dedication has strengthened the health and well-being of our communities.

As your hospitals continue to navigate ongoing challenges, including workforce shortages and mounting financial pressures, this year’s meeting will offer valuable insights from speakers who will inspire and inform us about what’s ahead for our health care delivery system. Continuing education credits are available for attendees.

Additional details about this year’s program and speakers will be shared soon. In the meantime, I encourage you to register early and please share this opportunity with your colleagues. CEOs are encouraged to invite and amplify within their executive leadership teams.

I look forward to seeing you in November!
