Pioneers Memorial Healthcare District announced Christopher R. Bjornberg, MBA, FACHE, as their new CEO on Jan. 24.
Bjornberg hails from Fall River Mills, California, where he recently served as CEO of Mayers Memorial Healthcare District. In that role, he also served as a member of the Hospital Council & Healthcare Foundation Board of Directors. His expertise includes working with health care districts, surgical facilities, health clinics, outpatient rehabilitation management, and analytics.
Bjornberg obtained two master’s degrees, one in health care management and one in accounting and finance from American InterContinental University. He served as president of the Blue River Valley Network, a network of 18 critical access hospitals, in 2014. He is also a proud member and fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives and serves as a member of the HASD&IC Board of Directors.
As CEO, Bjornberg will lead the district in an ongoing focus on finance stabilization, employee satisfaction and retention, process and procedure improvement, and the elevation of quality and patient satisfaction.
